Senior BI Developer

Candidate Description

Specialising in business intelligence, data modelling and data warehousing, this professional brings a career spanning software engineering, BI development, consulting and technical leadership. Their experience includes appointments with a consulting and professional services company, a technology services company, a mining and natural resources company, a consulting firm, an insurance company and a quick-service restaurant company. They have worked across consulting, mining, insurance and the quick-service restaurant sector. Their technical profile includes Azure data solutions, Microsoft Business Intelligence, Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations and Dynamics AX. Experience in Australia, Canada and India provides an international perspective on technical delivery environments.

Their technical strengths centre on the relationship between data structures, warehousing and business intelligence. At an insurance company, they held a Senior BI / DW Developer position combining BI and data warehouse development. Their Business Intelligence Lead appointment at a quick-service restaurant company added lead-level responsibility to that development background. Consulting appointments with a consulting firm and a mining and natural resources company further broadened their BI experience. Earlier roles at a technology services company and a consulting and professional services company provided a foundation in BI development and software engineering respectively.

The progression from Senior Software Engineer to BI Developer, consultant and Business Intelligence Lead demonstrates adaptability across technical roles. Their background combines hands-on development experience with consulting and lead-level appointments. Repeated engagements with a mining and natural resources company form part of an international consulting career. A BTech in Computer Science from a university underpins their technical background. Based in Sydney, this Australian citizen is immediately available for contract opportunities requiring experienced BI development, data modelling and data warehousing capability.
