MICROSOFT DYNAMICS 365 FINANCE AND OPERATIONS SENIOR FINANCE FUNCTIONAL BUSINESS ANALYST

Melbourne | Contract, six months

saas nine is working with our client on the finance side of Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations. A finance functional specialist has moved on, and while a permanent replacement is found they need an experienced contractor to pick the work up and keep it moving. Six months to start, beginning as soon as you are available.

What you will do

Be the functional owner of the finance modules. Sit with the corporate finance and accounting teams, work out what they actually need, and decide where standard Dynamics 365 does the job and where it genuinely does not. Run the discovery, write the functional design, prepare the test scripts, work through UAT and get the business to sign off. Then support the people using it, through month end and year end close.

The functional ground

General ledger, accounts payable and accounts receivable, cash and bank management, fixed assets, budgeting and cost accounting, financial consolidation and reconciliations. Multiple legal entities across Australia and New Zealand, so intercompany, multi-currency and consolidated reporting are part of the day job rather than an edge case. Alongside the configuration work there is data migration to support, with mapping, validation and reconciliation, and finance team training to design and deliver.

What you will bring

Real depth configuring and supporting Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations finance modules in a live environment, ideally multi-site and multi-entity. The ability to talk to accountants in their language and to technical consultants in theirs, because this role sits between the two. Hands-on UAT and defect management, and the judgement to tell a real gap from a training problem. A finance qualification such as CPA or CA, or MB-300 and MB-310, are all useful rather than essential. Project Management and Accounting experience is an advantage.
