Driving enterprise modernisation across financial services, the candidate brings more than 20 years of experience spanning software engineering, solution architecture and enterprise architecture. Their current leadership role at a Superannuation Fund combines technology strategy with practical delivery across Member, Investments and Corporate domains. They lead six architects responsible for platform capabilities encompassing data, integration, identity, cloud, service delivery and AI. Their expertise spans AWS, Azure, Dynamics CRM integration, ServiceNow and governed enterprise data platforms. Earlier work at a Financial Services Company, a Financial Technology Company, a Technology Consulting Firm and a Technology Services Company adds breadth across investment platforms, global funds transfer, telecommunications and performance engineering. Analytical judgement and a pragmatic approach help them balance delivery pace with security, regulatory obligations and long-term technology integrity.
API-first integration and identity-led security are central to their architecture approach. At a Superannuation Fund, they replaced point-to-point connections with an AWS integration layer using API Gateway, AppSync and GraphQL, while strengthening member and enterprise access through Okta, MFA and passkeys. They extended a governed Enterprise Data Platform and supported Investments reporting through an Azure landing zone and Power BI. At a Financial Services Company, they designed mobile-app back-end architecture, MuleSoft integrations, secure digital communications and end-to-end ETL migration architecture. Their straight-through payment-processing design saved the payments team at least 4 hours per day, while trade consolidation reduced settlement volumes and costs. Their delivery experience combines Agile and Scrum practices with CI/CD, API standards, C++, C#, .NET, Python and REST and SOAP integration patterns.
Architecture leadership is reinforced by a strong focus on coaching, executive engagement and transparent governance. At a Superannuation Fund, they translate business strategy into roadmaps and provide architecture input to business cases, investment decisions and delivery sequencing. They have established cross-cutting governance that makes security, compliance, AI controls and technical trade-offs visible to executives. Their AI enablement work brings together Claude for Enterprise, MCP-based access to approved data and controlled AI-assisted engineering. Experience across financial platforms, contact centre products and server performance tools demonstrates adaptability to different technical and operating environments. They offer employers a combination of strategic architecture, hands-on engineering knowledge and collaborative leadership that supports secure, maintainable and commercially grounded transformation.
