Data Migration Consultant

Location: Melbourne CBD (Hybrid – 3 days onsite) | Sector: Manufacturing | Type: 12-Month Contract | Rate: Day Rate

I’m pleased to introduce a 12-month day-rate contract opportunity for an experienced Data Migration Consultant to join a major manufacturing organisation delivering a new enterprise transformation program.

This role will focus specifically on data validation and migration from SAP into Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations, operating within a modern Microsoft Fabric data environment.

You’ll play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and reconciliation of data as it transitions between platforms — working closely with the Microsoft Partner, internal SMEs, and functional workstreams to validate financial, supply chain, and operational datasets prior to go-live.

This is a hands-on, detail-driven role suited to someone who understands both the technical and business impact of data accuracy within ERP transformations.

Key Focus Areas:

• Lead data validation activities from SAP to Dynamics 365 FinOps

• Work within a Microsoft Fabric environment to support data transformation and reconciliation

• Validate master data, transactional data, financial records, and supply chain datasets

• Perform reconciliation, cleansing, and mapping activities across systems

• Partner with functional consultants and business SMEs to resolve data discrepancies

• Support testing cycles, cutover readiness, and go-live validation

• Ensure data governance and integrity standards are upheld throughout the migration process

You’ll bring:

• Proven experience in ERP data migration projects (SAP to D365 highly advantageous)

• Strong understanding of financial and/or supply chain data structures

• Exposure to Microsoft Dynamics 365 FinOps

• Experience working with Microsoft Fabric, data lakes, or modern cloud data platforms

• Advanced Excel / SQL skills and strong analytical capability

• Excellent stakeholder communication and documentation skills

• Availability to work 3 days per week onsite in Melbourne CBD
