saas nine is partnering with an established Microsoft Partner in Sydney to identify an experienced Senior Dynamics 365 Business Central Functional Lead.

We're looking for someone who has progressed beyond simply delivering individual workstreams and is comfortable taking functional ownership across complete Business Central implementations.
This is still a hands-on consulting position.

You'll lead discovery and requirements workshops, challenge and improve business processes, shape the functional solution, work closely with technical teams and provide leadership to other functional consultants throughout the delivery lifecycle.

THE ROLE

Working across new implementations, transformation programs and existing customer environments, you'll take a senior role across the full Business Central lifecycle.

Responsibilities will include:

• Leading customer discovery and requirements workshops

• Owning functional solution design across Business Central implementations

• Translating complex business requirements into scalable BC solutions

• Leading fit-gap analysis and process mapping

• Challenging requirements and advising customers on Business Central best practice

• Producing functional design documentation

• Configuring and delivering Business Central solutions

• Leading UAT, training, cutover and go-live activities

• Working closely with Developers, Technical Consultants and Solution Architects

• Providing functional leadership and guidance to other consultants

• Managing senior customer stakeholders throughout delivery

• Identifying risks, dependencies and potential solution gaps

• Supporting pre-sales, scoping and estimation where required

• Helping establish consistent functional delivery standards across projects

BUSINESS CENTRAL EXPERIENCE

We're looking for strong end-to-end Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central experience across areas such as:

• Financial Management

• General Ledger

• Accounts Payable / Receivable

• Fixed Assets

• Cash & Bank Management

• Purchasing & Procurement

• Sales & Order Management

• Inventory & Warehousing

• Supply Chain

• Jobs / Project Accounting

• Reporting and analytics

• Workflow and approvals

Broader exposure to Power Platform, Power BI, Microsoft 365, Azure or the wider Microsoft Business Applications ecosystem would be highly regarded.

ABOUT YOU

You could currently be working as a:

• Senior Business Central Functional Consultant

• Business Central Functional Lead

• Lead Functional Consultant

• Business Central Solution Architect

• Dynamics NAV / Business Central Lead Consultant

You'll ideally bring:

• Strong Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central consulting experience

• Multiple end-to-end implementation lifecycles

• Excellent workshop and requirements-gathering capability

• Strong functional solution-design experience

• The confidence to challenge customer requirements where appropriate

• Experience dealing directly with senior business stakeholders

• Strong documentation and communication skills

• Experience mentoring or leading other consultants

• A consulting mindset rather than simply a system configuration background

Previous Microsoft Partner experience would be highly regarded.
