We’re working with a global Microsoft Solutions Partner that is continuing to expand its modern data practice across ANZ.
They’re looking for a Lead Data Platform Engineer who enjoys solving complex enterprise data challenges and working closely with customers to design and deliver modern data platforms.
This role sits at the intersection of deep engineering and consulting delivery. You’ll typically work across one or two client engagements at a time, helping organisations build scalable data solutions across the Microsoft ecosystem.
This is not a pure internal engineering role — it requires someone who understands how to operate within consulting environments, enterprise architecture landscapes, and customer-driven outcomes.
For the right person, this role offers a clear pathway toward Data Platform Architecture and Enterprise Architecture.
What You’ll Be Doing
Designing and delivering modern data platform solutions across the Microsoft ecosystem
Working with customers to understand requirements and translate them into scalable architectures
Leading implementation across Fabric, Databricks, and Azure data services
Running technical workshops and solution discussions with customer stakeholders
Working across multiple client engagements simultaneously
Supporting the development of enterprise-grade data architecture patterns
Collaborating with engineering teams to deliver high-quality, production-ready data platforms
What They’re Looking For
Strong experience building modern data platforms on Azure
Hands-on delivery experience with Microsoft Fabric, Databricks, or Synapse
Solid experience with data engineering pipelines and platform architecture
Experience working in consulting or client-facing delivery environments
Ability to engage with stakeholders and run solution workshops
Strong understanding of enterprise data environments and architectural constraints
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
Why This Role Stands Out
Work with a leading Microsoft partner delivering complex data solutions
Exposure to large-scale enterprise transformations
Opportunity to work across Fabric, Databricks, AI and modern data platforms
Clear pathway toward Enterprise Data Architecture
Work alongside some of the strongest Microsoft data specialists in the region
